This is an allegorical sitcom based on David. The reverend is the prophet Samuel, hence Reverend Samuels. The touch on the forehead was a foreshadowing anointing of sorts just as Samuel anoints David while tending sheep. The anointing occurred two years before the kid went to battle against Goliath. The names give you all the clues you need. King Silas. The mother, Jesse--David's father's name. David first marries Saul's daughter as a spoil for killing Goliath. I also have the DVR set for "30 Rock" and it's pretty funny. But that damn Tracey Morgan is so f*cking coonish and ignorant, he is probably the most exaggerated caricature of a black man TV has ever seen. He is a cartoon. He could easily be a character that "Boondocks" would use as a negative statement of blackness. I hate his character. I think more than I hate Julia in "Nip/Tuck". Did I mention that I hated Tracey Morgan's character? Oh...just making sure. The way he talks is like he's mildly retarded. Or maybe it's not even mild. He may be full retard. Then he comes with this "I'm gonna impregnate you" steelo to every woman he talks to whenever they interview him...NIGGA....THAT SH!T IS NOT FUNNY. AT ALL. I have yet to watch "The Office".
